4 November 2024
generalIn October, Gabriel Cusato, a representative from our Foundation, visited SPUD, one of the charities selected in our Spring 2024 funding round. During the visit, Gabriel met with Mark Drury, Director and Suna Imre, Project Associate, to learn more about SPUD's impactful work.
SPUD is an arts and education charity that creates opportunities for people to engage with art, architecture, design and the environment.
Our funding will specifically support SPUD's ‘Living Room Dementia’ project, which offers weekly dementia workshops in their newly created Living Room space. These workshops, held both in the morning and afternoon, are led by artists and are designed to engage individuals and families living with dementia.
SPUD's mission is to promote the well-being of communities through collaboration in arts, architecture and education. By providing a comforting and enriching experience, the 'Living Room Dementia' project enhances the quality of life and overall well-being of participants, offering a meaningful space for expression and connection.
Thank you to SPUD for welcoming us into your space. We are excited to follow the progress of this project and the positive impact it will have on the participants. To learn more about the organisation and the services they offer, here.
