generalRepresentatives from our Foundation Andy Cowie and Lizzie Uzzell were delighted to visit the Royal Berkshire Hospital to meet with the Royal Berks Charity. They met with Monica Srivastava, Charity Grants Manager, to present the charity with a cheque to fund their latest project. Our funding will support the purchase of the ‘Airvo 3', a high-flow oxygen machine, in the Paediatric Emergency Department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. The device will provide improved respiratory support to children whilst they are being transported from the Paediatrics Emergency Department up to the Paediatrics inpatient ward.
Royal Berks Charity raises funds to help drive improvement in patient care and foster innovation in healthcare by buying the latest equipment, enhancing the hospital environment, and championing pioneering and innovative projects beyond what is possible through NHS funding. They work closely with wards and departments at the Royal Berkshire NHS Trust to identify projects that drive improvements in patient care.
Thank you to Royal Berks Charity for meeting with us and providing insight into how our funding of this device will significantly improve the experience of young patients who need oxygen therapy. You can find out more about the charity and opportunities to get involved here.
